Ye

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is an American rapper, producer and songwriter whose records have repeatedly reshaped the sound of mainstream hip-hop. His early work joined soul samples, gospel choirs and personal writing; later albums expanded into orchestral pop, electronic production, industrial textures and gospel music. The College Dropout, Late Registration and Graduation established a sample-driven trilogy, while 808s & Heartbreak took a more melodic, electronically processed approach that influenced a generation of artists. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus and The Life of Pablo each construct a different studio world around shifting collaborators and themes. His catalog moves through pronounced stylistic changes, making production choices and album sequencing central to hearing each era.
