Rush

Rush formed in Toronto in 1968, developing from a local rock group into one of Canada’s best-known bands. The original lineup featured guitarist Alex Lifeson, bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee, and drummer John Rutsey; Neil Peart joined in 1974, after the band’s self-titled debut, and became its lyricist as well as drummer. Rush’s catalog spans hard rock and increasingly elaborate compositions.
