Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran’s albums move between acoustic singer-songwriter ballads, rhythmically nimble pop, and large-scale collaborations, with direct melodies and a conversational vocal style tying them together. The early + and x pair guitar-led storytelling with hip-hop and R&B touches, while ÷ broadens the palette into radio pop and varied regional influences. No.6 Collaborations Project shifts the focus to guest pairings; = turns toward family and adulthood, and the 2023 releases − and Autumn Variations take a more reflective, subdued approach. Play returns to pop while drawing on sounds heard during Sheeran’s travels. The catalog invites comparisons between intimate solo writing and maximal production, and between albums designed around one emotional mood and records that change style from track to track.
