About this Album

Released in 1979, *We Are Family* brought Sister Sledge together with Chic’s Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, who produced the album. It features “He’s the Greatest Dancer,” “Lost in Music” and the title track, which became a signature song for the group. The Library of Congress added the title song to the National Recording Registry in 2016.
