About this Album

Released in 1982, The Sisters was Sister Sledge’s first self-produced album. The ten-song set moves among R&B and disco, opening with “Super Bad Sisters” and featuring the group’s cover of Mary Wells’ “My Guy,” as well as “All the Man I Need” and “Jacki’s Theme: There’s No Stopping Us.” The album followed All American Girls in the group’s early-1980s studio run.
